Talking about Denise (and I hope she won't get mad at me for publishing this), I want to wish Denise, in name of all Sttoen Girls, a super happy birthday (it was yesterday, the 25th!), we are very proud of you Deni, you are not only a super good friend, but also a super mom, an example of christian, you are a very loyal person, and you make our group very special!!!! We wish you an incredible beginning of this new cycle!!!! Hugs and kisses from your gal friends!!!

One week ago we started our blog!!
I'm very happy to say that in only one week we reach over one hundred visits, which is a great start for a blog! I have been busy studying and working, just like many of you, but to log in here and to write positive things make me very happy.
Denise and I had talked about this club since long time ago. When we realized how meaningful last meeting was for most of us, we finally saw our "friendship dream" coming true.
So, thanks for everyone who's been looking through our blog, thanks for all the comments, for every and each visitor, and please don't hesitate to leave your words here, they're very important to us.

Girls, we should start to think about next meeting! We've got some ideas so don't be surprised if you receive a Sttoen e-mail around this week, okay?

Hello STTOEN Girls!

Wooooohoo!!!! I'm so happy to get a few minutes to write here today! Busy week, blue Monday, cold and wet... Anyways, let's talk about good news!

First of all, I'd like to thank all the girls that answered my e-mail from sttoen@, because I was very anxious to get some feedback from you!

Marcella e-mailed me today because there was something wrong with the comments options over here (and there certainly was), so due on the previous settings, the blog was requesting a Google Account or a URL to let people post their comments here. Okay, okay, I admit, it was my fault, but of course I didn't do it on purpose. I forgot I was supposed to reset it, I want everybody to be able to show up over here!!! I already fixed it, so it's ready to use!!! :)
If you don't have a Gmail account, you can post your comments through the Open ID option.

Okay, so far, so good! I also want to welcome the two new writers we have right now, Denise and Camille!!! Girls, both of your invitations were already sent to you, so I hope to read new posts from you soon!

I don't know if you gals noticed, but I kind of established four categories (links on the right side of the blog); one is about our Events, the other about Music, the other one for pictures, and this one that I'm writing on which is the Staff. I thought it'd be easier to find things when we need, so whoever is updating the blog can define where the new text goes to. There is a little box right under the posting box where it says "Labels for this post:", and if you type any of those 4 categories your text will be find automatically there. If you think your post does not fit any of those categories, you can type a new name on the Label box, and a new category will be created. It might sound a little silly to do this way, but it should be very useful.

All right, girls!!! I better stop now before you complain of how long my texts are!!! lol..

Why fellowship is so important?

Hi girls! How are you doing?
Today I would like to talk about a very special topic: fellowship.
Why is it so important? Why does STTOEN club care about it? Does it bring any positive change to our lives? How?

As a student of Social Communication, I believe that human being race desperately needs interaction to feel part of a system. Talking about men versus women, it is a fact that women need interaction also to feel happy and complete. For women, interaction represents the opportunity to express themselves, it is the key ingredient not only to belong to a system, but to survive into it.

It is also a fact (scientific fact) that girls learn how to talk before boys. The need for communication is so strong, that girls cannot help themselves - instead, they talk.

Fellowship is fundamental, essential. Besides, it is a lot of fun! And here is where STTOEN does its job!

As some of you know, 70% of STTOEN members are from different countries, and the cultural contrast sometimes turns the interaction a little bit difficult to happen. So, here is the STTOEN story: once upon a time, in a very very small county named Muscatine, a very smart gal decided it was time to begin a new journey. She was kind of sad, missing her country, missing her friends, and then she finally met another gal who coincidentally was feeling the same way. So, they decided to call up all their mutual friends, only female ones. They had a wonderful time together, and soon they met again, and again, and again. The crew grew up, a name was chosen, and the club was finally established! That is the spirit of fellowship, to gather true companions and have fun as much as it's possible.

STTOEN cares about fellowship because its aim is to include girls, to create a group where people can talk, share, laugh... STTOEN believes that friendship is the strongest support people can have.

Yes, fellowship brings a lot of positive factors to our lives. First of all because nobody likes to feel lonely. It is a big motivation to know that you have friends you can be with, at least once a month. The events are always different from previous, and that innovation cheers anyone up! The more meetings we go, the more we get to know each other. We always try to make our members and guests to feel at home, because true fellowship does make people feel very comfortable.

So, girls, visitors, members, and curious, my message today is that friendship along with fellowship is something to be greatly appreciated, that's what STTOEN wants to bring to you, and that's what we expect you to bring to it.

Hello STTOEN girls!
I'm here to start our brand new cute lovely blog!!!
And I have to tell ya, I'm so excited bout it! I hope you all like it, and I also wanna see everyone of you interacting here, right? This is gonna be so fun!!!

First of all, I would like to thank each one of the girls who attended our last event, yesterday, and I personally think it was a huge success! I think each one of us adds a lot to our group, because we are different, but at the same time we can understand each other so much, and that's what the real fun is all about!!!

I have to say, food was SO GOOD! Conversation was very cool, and we stayed chatting till late, after mid-night! Wow!! That was a new record! I love that!

All the pretty ladies having black & withe suits, drinking tea on the very first cold day of this year, sounds very sophisticated, uh??? We're the best!

I'm so glad we had a great time last night!
